Then there was the Light & Sound Show......

What a great way to spend an evening.

The lights were wonderful.

We walked through the Marina Sands Hotel on the way to the MRT station - probably the only time I'll get near this place.

The Cloud Dome

Man made waterfall was pretty impressive.

These were made of leggo!

Bromeliads everywhere - HofM was in heaven!  So many varieties,

They turned on the misters - so we had the cloud! That's the walkway through the cloud dome - it's up pretty high & was great to walk around.

In to the Flower Dome

There are 2 Domes - the Flower Dome & the Cloud Dome - the Flower Dome is home to all sorts of plants from cacti, succulents, trees, flowers etc etc.  It's all air-conditioned too - they have their own eco-system going so it's entirely self-sufficient.

The Dome!

They have different themed displays - this one was finishing - Nursery Rhymes - it was finished & a new one was being done.

Lupins - HofM informed me.

Amazing sculptures everywhere.

Ancient olive trees that must have been brought in & replanted - can you see why it took us so long to look around.

Red Hill Market

My great-niece & her boyfriend visited us for the weekend & while the men played golf, Jess & I went to the Red Hill Market.  Lots of lovely food, music, gifts, clothes etc etc etc.  We had brunch across the road at Arthur's at the Ithaca Bowls Club.  Food was great - lovely way to spend the morning & the weather was just a little warmer.

Eat Street Hamilton

After a drive around the Sunshine Coast, we went to see the American Frigate at Hamilton & decided to eat at Eat Street, Northshore, Hamilton.  The food was great & we would have stayed longer except for the bitterly cold wind - we Qlders are not used to such cold weather.

Lunch with daughter-in-law

Don't drive passed this cafe - only open Monday to Friday.

Food in the cafe comes straight from the garden to the plate - most of it!

Lovely mosaics all around the place.  Prices are really reasonable too.

Visiting Mt Nebo

Visitors for lunch
We got a little more than bird seed - No:1 son prepared open sandwiches.
Reading nursery rhymes from the book
Grandma brought.
Every little girl should have a fancy tee pee.
Mum's previous work experience proved necessary when we took the fish home.
