ICC Quilt Show

This was our Quilt Show in 2011 - rain, rain rain!  Our show is on NEXT Saturday, (31st August) at Milton State School, Bayswater Road, Milton from 10.00am - 3.00pm.  We are hoping for a really sunny, warm day. Demonstrations on felting, photo transfer, re-purposing clothes & tarting up t-shirts start at 11.00am & again at 1.00pm.  Purple Paddo Patchers are making a Quilt in a Day.  $5.00 entry & there is also a great sales table and raffle quilts & of course, a cuppa & a plate of goodies to eat.  Join us!

Wedding of the Year......................

We all got there - vows said - all happy - now for the food................

Bet no one else has had a rocket ship wedding cake - it was a marble cake & everything was edible except for the red fins.  The groom chose - not sure where the idea came from. 










Prize winners at the Ekka

"Women of Africa" has won a 3rd prize in its category at the Royal National Show Queensland (the Ekka) -other friends have won prizes too - Congratulations to Sue Dennis http://suedennisartquilts.blogspot.com.au/

Merody Buglar and Margot Kitchen won Best of Show in the exhibition, Quilts across Queensland. How lucky am I to have such talented friends!!!

Wedding - Sunday week

Our youngest son is getting married Sunday week - this is their wedding quilt - actually finished in time for the day. It's machine pieced and hand quilted with shashiko thread and I'm thrilled with it. They love it too.

Quilt for a new Family Member

These are on the design wall - sitting & stewing a bit - happy with most of the blocks but a couple are just not right - maybe I'll redo them all..............will look again tomorrow & see what I think.
