Uncoverings

On Monday of the Conference, we were privileged to see four quilt collections 'uncovered'. What a great day!

And the quilts...............

The speakers were so generous and we saw some absolutely wonderful quilts - traditional through to modern - if you get the chance to go to a conference - I would recommend it - it was great

Sydney last week........

We walked from our hotel to the Maritime Museum to the National Quilt Study Conference - across Pyrmont Bridge - we had a great time at the conference.  The paper was well received and all the other speakers were soooo interesting.

National Quilt Study Conference - Sydney

This time next week, I'll be in Sydney at the National Quilt Study Conference http://australianquiltstudygroups.blogspot.com.au/ . I am co-presenting a paper on the Miegunyah Quilt Project.  Miegunyah is an historical house here n Brisbane and home to the Queensland Womens' Historical Association http://www.miegunyah.org/ TheAssociation has a number of antique quilts that I have had the honour of helping to document.  Looking forward to visiting the Sydney Quilt Show too - a week away..........with two good friends.  Hope it's not too cold for us Queenslanders.
