Tourist Drives

A visit to Coochiemudle Island & this is what you can see!  Keeping cool on a pretty hot day.
Eat Street, Hamilton - always good food - ice-cream was great!
Repaired these sandals for our great-niece - orange shashiko thread will keep the soles & top together for a little while longer.
Plainlands Hotel, Lockyer Valley - cool jazz trio & really good food.

Fairies & 4 year olds!

So pleased we got to the "Do you Bee-lieve" exhibition at Old Petrie Town before it closed.
Not only were the 4 yr olds' eyes wide with delight - think a couple of adults were delighted too - so much to see & find in the displays.
Making a wish on the Unicorn!
Testing the floor for a crawling space - not quite there - the frog wasn't much help!

Tourist in my own city

Nothing like having an overseas visitor to get you out and about your own city.
A cafe in the basement of a building in Charlotte Street - next door to the Pancake Manor - owned by a friend's son-in-law.  Great iced coffee & nice cool stop off during our walk.
Museum of Brisbane - great place to visit.
Museum of Brisbane - paper cut - just amazing.
Mao's Last Dancer exhibition was wonderful - this was in a darkened area & the figure danced - delightful.
One of the Queen Street Mall facades.
This is the ceiling of the old Regent Theatre in the Mall - now a Tourist Information Centre - well worth a look inside - still very grand.
