The Harbour & Rocks area.

I walked & walked & walked passing wonderful rocks, street art, little laneways and later in the day a ferry to Cockatoo Island taking in views of the Opera House & the Harbour Bridge. It was a wonderful week in Sydney and I shared it with 2 great friends.

Sydney Quilt Show

The Sydney Quilt Show was held on Glebe Island because the Convention Centre is undergoing refurbishment.  We went by free ferry - a great start to the day.  The marquee is huge and the show was great.  However, the NSW Guild has a policy of photos for personal use only & not to be on Instagram, Pinterest or Blogs.  So sorry - I can show you photos on my camera but can't put them on my blog.  There were some great quilts.

And the quilts...............

The speakers were so generous and we saw some absolutely wonderful quilts - traditional through to modern - if you get the chance to go to a conference - I would recommend it - it was great

Sydney last week........

We walked from our hotel to the Maritime Museum to the National Quilt Study Conference - across Pyrmont Bridge - we had a great time at the conference.  The paper was well received and all the other speakers were soooo interesting.
