2Q Workshop

Some of the 2Q members who listened & learned from Bryan Whitehead.
We used very old stencils and 'goop' to make a resist.
Then lots of dipping in to Indigo dye.
Some of the stencil results.  Everyone had a great time - thank you Bryan for sharing your knowledge.

2 Days with Ro Brunh

The last workshop was with Ro Brunh - what fun.
This is my friend, Margaret's, piece - looks great.
My piece - smaller than others - lots more stitching to go and maybe some more ephemera.

Next Class - Quilt Encounter

My second class was with Pam Holland - above area a couple of her pieces - such wonderful work.
This was the workshop I did - "The Woman" - have to finish it off & then I'll post a picture of my piece.  I loved the class & the free motion work - even though I was working on a loan machine.  Looking forward to finding an image so I can try the technique again.  Thank you, Pam  https://iampamholland.com/

Second day - checking out Glenelg & Adelaide

Glenelg in the rain - we had coffee at the Grand Hotel - very grand, indeed.
Then on to the South Australian Art Gallery - just wonderful.
After my lesson with the Tentmakers - should I aim for this????????
Inspiration - tiles in the Gallery.
More inspiraton -shop window.

First Class - Quilt Encounter

The Tentmakers of Cairo - talented men & such 'gentle'men.
And this is how you do it - they are so fast.
So - that's how much I got done - don't think I'll be hired on in the Tentmakers' Street.
There were so many glorious quilts - wonderful experience.

Adelaide - Quilt Encounter

Loved the art on the side of our unit.

These are all 4 bedroom units at Immanuel College, Adelaide.
Visited South Australia's 'Festival of Quilts" - great display & despite the cold & rain, we had a great day.
