Purple or black???? I'm leaning towards the purple but just want a bit of confirmation.  Making this for a friend's great-grandson.

Milton State School 125 Years young

The time capsule was buried in 1989 - due to be unearthed at the 125th anniversary (2014) - it survived the flood of 2011 - would the contents be OK?  A past principal had the honour of opening the lid. We breathed a sigh of relief - everything inside was in pristine condition.  Milton State School now has 600 students. Past students, parents & teachers witnessed the opening.

A week or so ago - we had sushie at Mogo, Rosalie - food was great & I love the atmosphere.

2Q Challenge on display

"Classy" - my entry into Qld Quilters Challenge this year.  The theme was 30 - in celebration of 2Q's 30th Anniversary. The complete display will be at Stitches & Craft currently on at the Convention Centre here in Brisbane from today through till Sunday.  There is also a display of modern quilts by the new group within 2Q - 2QModern.  Am hoping to get over to see this plus check out what's on offer through the vendors.

Quilt Group Meeting

On the last Saturday of the month, I attend Queensland Quilters' Art Quilt group (2QAQ or 2Quack!) & last month, Ali aliquilts.com.au/  gave a little demo on a couple of techniques - one of them being Notan.  Above is one of my attempts - it was really fun.  Google it - it's a Japanese technique.

We've been busy over the last few weeks with lots of guests through Airbnb www.airbnb.com.au and our local neighbours have rolled out to say G'Day.

More visitors

The flying fix delighted our German visitor & we shooed him off before he took a liking to our pawpaws. Glad he didn't find out how delicious they were.

Backyard visitors

The pink bear has a couple of travelling companions - Julie & Aaron - the bear was the silent type but his friends kept us entertained.
