 We learnt how to make silk paper.

 First we spread out the silk fibres.

 Tulle - wet the silk -

Soak up excess moisture - it's on the line drying (probably dry  by now) - if it turns out OK - you'll get to see a photo.

Highfields Retreat

Last weekend I was an hour west of Brisbane with a few of my favourite people & spent the weekend sewing, laughing, eating & drinking.  I'm working on a quilt for the Qld Quilt Show in October - hope I can keep up the enthusiasm & get it finished in time.

 HofM, No: 2 Son & his mate were privileged to be taken for flights in this wonderful plane.  Thanks to Bill at Boonah for his generosity.  Their smiles were wonderful to behold.

Apart from the Pub not much in Leyburn but was a nice stop - always nice to get away - even for just a night.

A couple of quilts

 I have been sewing - got the above little quilt finished.

A second grandchild is arriving next month & hopefully this little Michelle Hill quilt will be ready for him/her.
