Yorky's Knob and Cairns

This is Yorky's Knob - he lived (George Lawson) in the late 1800's. fished & became a hermit on Green Island off Cairns.  Was a legend.

No one on the beach, the flags were out but no one was on the beach - it was chilly for us Queenslanders particularly for those who live this far north.

View from the Esplanade in Cairns - some beautiful boats/

Dinner at the local RSL with views out across the harbour and the WW1 Centitaph.

  1. So how chilly was it for the Queenslanders? Our top today was 15.6, and it felt so warm! It was the first day with a top that high since well before winter. Spring is in the air!
