In the Studio

Needing backing fabric  - found this 30 year old piece!  I pieced the back for a quilt - it's one way to use the stash.  

Made a new cushion cover for Mum.  I used orphan blocks made from fruit & veggie fabrics - think it must have been a great quilt that I was going to make.  It's bright and cheerful

 

Another Play Mat

Play mat finished - not sure who it's going to yet - have a few babies due around us, neighbours, family and friends.  Decisions, decisions!

 

Benni is 7

This birthday was held at a swimming pool.  The cake tasted pretty good.

Little brother Shiloh. in his Spiderman towel.

Father & daughter enjoyed the day.  It's an old statement but true - they do grow up so quickly.

 

Colour Challenge 2019

I had 12 A4 pieces from our Colour Challenge - what to do with them?  I decided to make a book.  This is the result - everything was hand stitched.

Inside front cover with January's piece - colour, orange & "Desert Storm"  was born.

The spine and belt of the book.

This is the December page - black and "Burnt Leaves"  - a commercial fabric in black leaves & I hand stitched to bring out the black.  Some of the leaves were outlined in a rust brown.  So pleased I was able to finish the Challenge & have something that is really nice to display.
