Benni & friend - birds love her.

Even at 2 years old, she was talking to and feeding the parrots.

Halloween this year - Mum did the face painting.

Benni is 7

This birthday was held at a swimming pool.  The cake tasted pretty good.

Father & daughter enjoyed the day.  It's an old statement but true - they do grow up so quickly.

 

An Afternoon on the Mountain

Grumps went to the best hairdresser on the mountain and was transformed with bows.

Checking out the garden and rocks - one day it'll be a veggie garden.

Grandma also went to the hairdressers.

The it was Grandma's turn to transform the grandchildren.  I've never done girl's hair - so it was a new experience for me (I know the  part isn't straight!)

Shiloh ended up with a top knot and a butterfly.  We were all transformed.

 

Last month

I've decided I definitely don't want long grey hair - think Benni agrees!

We have a pirate, Popeye & a dragon - Mum was Olive Oil

And off we go on Mt Nebo to see what the neighbour's put out.

We were given the chance to have cicada shells - made 'nice' hair clips but no snacks.

 

Postcards for the Grandies

They sent me a drawing and I turned it into a couple of postcards for them.  Benni is the artist. I traced her drawings, embroidered them & sent them back.

3rd Birthday

Lock Down does not stop birthdays.  Our grandson celebrated his 3rd Birthday - very low key with just family in attendance.  Pin the Tail on the donkey is a little different with stick on tails these days.

Mermaids are real - especially when you're 5!

It was a dream come true for Benni.  Jamie visited for her 5th Birthday party and we all had fun.  I have it on good authority that Jamie 'grew' her tail in Hawaii.

Another 2QAQ play day

My grandchildren are wearing the results of last month's 2QAQ play - tie dyeing.  We have covered a lot of different ways of dyeing during our meetings.

Whale Festival

Last Sunday at Scarborough Beach, Redcliffe Peninsula, a Whale Festival was held.  Whale migration season will soon be happening so we had face painting, 'real' mermaids and King Neptune himself.  It was so windy & cold, we didn't stay for the outdoor movie - you guessed it, "Finding Nemo!"

Fairies & 4 year olds!

 So pleased we got to the "Do you Bee-lieve" exhibition at Old Petrie Town before it closed.

 Not only were the 4 yr olds' eyes wide with delight - think a couple of adults were delighted too - so much to see & find in the displays.

 My nails are done ....................by the nearly 4 year old!!!!  At least she chose the pink & not the green polish!

Their new home for the next 12 months has a pool - pretty handy at this time of year.
