Rain rain go away

I am so tired of all the rain (flashbacks to 2011) - however, it does mean that I can do some playing - guilt free - this one is a paper & fabric collage & then I machine stitched around the edges. I've also sent some time doing paper collage mailart.

It's on white card, circles came from Mim mim4art.blogspot.com/ in USA & I have loads left. My mail art can be viewed on the Mail Art 365 -when you get there go to the bar on RHS & find BrisChris & click on that & my art will pop into view,  I'm up to No: 244 of 365 - nearly 2 years on from when I started - am still determined to get to 365.  Truly admire those who accomplished it in 12 months & some of the participants are on their 3rd go round. Think they're a bit obsessive - Mim!!!!!!

Mail Art going out

Spent the day with a friend at Pine Rivers & Redcliffe Art Galleries catching up on the exhibitions of textile art - an absolutely wonderful way to spend a day. Got home with enough time to make these pieces.

My sister's birthday is coming up - so I made this for her.

Another music fabric postcard complete with ric rac.

Enjoyed making this one - fabric postcard with machine stitching.... these added to my MailArt 365 project - now up to 218 - still a fair way to go.

Busy making Postcards

Playing with the fancy stitches on my machine.

Still making Flood Art - lots of damaged photos to go.
Used Minke fabric on the bottom - it is so so soft.

Simple crazy patch with flannel fabric & a couple of cottons.  Really enjoyed playing & putting these Postcards together. One is going to California & others will head out to other points of the compass. Nearly up to 200 in the MailArt 365 project - I think I see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Four days off!

Had dreams of spending all four days in 'HerShed' - this did not quite work out that way.  Managed to make some MailArt -9 pieces - some paper collage, some flood art.  The middle one started as a painting done by a 2 year old with cotton reels I had given to her - it's going back to her as a postcard.

MailArt going out

Another piece of FloodArt - a bird appeared in the centre of this one.

This is a piece of GardenArt - I transferred two different photos of bamboo on to fabric & then machine embellished the fabric.  Cut them up and made new MailArt - it was interesting how murky the picutre became.

Not much happening

'
This is a piece of my 'Flood Art' - these photos were damaged by the January flood waters, rescued by a friend, cleaned & dried & now I am embellishing them & sending them out as Mail Art mailart365.blogspot.com - there are some great pieces there and mine are under the label of BrisChris.

This piece was received from Kiera Pannell in Canada - a really lovely paper collage.  The photo does not do it justice.
