Night Safari & Tree climbers
After our day at the zoo, we lined up to see the Night Safari - this was pre-opening entertainment. Didn't take photos as flash wasn't allowed & my camera's not quite good enough for the limited night of the zoo by night. We saw lions, mouse deer, leopards - some snoozing & some pacing.
The middle of Singapore & they were holding the Pacific Tree Climbing Championships. Did you know there was such a thing? HofM watched for a time - think it's a man thing!!!!

We went to the zoo, zoo, zoo.....
This set of stairs was the shortcut to the MRT station - needless to say we only went down & took the longer way home each day. We're back home now - but I've still got a couple of photos to show you.
The polar bear was entertaining to sit & watch - it was also nice & cool.
Gibbons have free range up in the trees & bits of wire around the trees stop them coming down to the ground except within their enclosure. They were great to watch. There are 3 hanging around & sharing a bunch of leaves.
Meerkats - didn't realise they are some small - they're much bigger in the ads!!! All the rest of the family were resting from the heat but this little one was on sentry duty!
The elephants aren't quite as nimble as the gibbons but we loved watching them.

Then there was the Light & Sound Show......
What a great way to spend an evening.
The lights were wonderful.
We walked through the Marina Sands Hotel on the way to the MRT station - probably the only time I'll get near this place.

Chinese Gardens
This was one of a number of specialized gardens - we explored this one - the rest will have to wait for another visit.
You're invited to rub these plaques - just for you Sue D.
View through one of the moon windows.
