Just a few of the quilts....

Just a few of the quilts to whet your appetite - we were given a catalogue of all the quilts - so those of you who live in Brisbane will probably get to see them all in the book.  It was a great show of talent & to see us Aussies standing tall with the rest of the world - Hungary, Finland, USA, UK, Israel & more.

Views around Tainan & welcome to the Quilt Show

Good Luck for the Quilt Show

Huge bouquets of flowers greeted us as we entered the Quilt Show.

Danny Liu's quilts

A very special part of our trip to Taiwan included lunch & show'n'tell with Danny Liu - www.quiltportrait.com or http://tw.myblog.yahoo.com/dan6831 - it was just amazing to see these quilts & more up so close.  Cara Gulati - Cara@CaraGulati.com - arranged lunch and for Danny to visit us. Something none of us will forget. He & his wife, Patricia, are such humble, gracious people - it was a privilege to meet them.

Mountains & Lanterns filled with prayers in Taiwan

Old gold mining town with winding streets up & down the mountain - lots of great things to see, including this old Tea House.

Then it was up even higher to write messages on lanterns and send them up with our prayers.  Absolutely wonderful experience thanks to our friend from the hotel, Vic, who took us out on his day off.  It was special!

Around & about Taipei.

The shell temple was incredible & they're building a mother one - bigger!
The fish market - we picked our lunch & then had it cooked at the restaurant.

Really amazing natural formations.

Taiwanese food then a foot massage!
