Cornwall & surrounds

With no internet connection in Tintagel where we were for a week, I felt very alone not being able to check in to see how everyone is going.  Now we are at our niece's & I'm back with all technology - feel complete.  Isn't that sad????
The pub we stayed at in Glastonbury - dates back to 1400's.  Henry VIII stayed there to view the tearing down of Glastonbury Abbey.  He did a good job of that too.  We had visited the Abbey once before so just looked around the village this time.

In Tintagel, supposed birthplace of King Arthur & where we attended the annual dinner of the Arthurian Society held at King Arthur's Halls.http://www.tintagelweb.co.uk/ - entertained by this medieavel singer.

Boscastle - this fishing village was devastated by a flood in 2004 - it came down from the hills in a huge torrent of water & wiped out all before it.  The cafe in the bottom picture was completely demolished and has been rebuilt, complete with the dip in the roof.  The photos they had on display brought back thoughts of our recent flooding in Queensland.
